What is the value in emailing my customers?
Posted by admin on October 10th, 2006I did not mean for this to be a note solely talking about how proud I am of our team, so here is what I would like you to walk away with:
If you take the time to put one email together this month you will succeed! Here is a simple report from a focus group of 60 wineries that shows what one email did for the business of those that emailed.
Here are 5 things to focus on when emailing your customers:
1. Thank them for being a part of what you do.
2. Offer them incentive to purchase wines that are either limited, well-rated, or your favorites. (or all of the above!) Make sure that you link these items to your website.
3. Let them know what events may be taking place in the near future.
4. Keep it short and sweet.
5. Last but not least, invite them to be a part of your wine club. If you do not have a club, invite them to be a part of a special group that is eligible for offers not released to the general public.
Your customers want to know that you care about them and that you think of them often. Emailing often and concisely is a small act that can convey that message to your customers in one easy email. Try it this month and let me know how it goes.
