New to the Fold
Posted by Luke McCollum on February 15th, 2007As a new employee at Inertia, I feel I’ve finally entered into the reality of complex software development. For many developers in my position, this is often a jarring change plagued with slow transitions, frequent stops and starts, and the general panic and hustle of trying to fit in.
Quite to the contrary, I’ve entered this company to find solid development practices, a smoothly tempered process, and thoroughly knowledgeable and talented senior developers. I feel that I’ve crossed over into a professional and highly prolific level of software engineering every junior developer looks for.
But it doesn’t just stop there. Every person in this company has made me feel at home, like a part of the family, from the moment I walked in the door. This place has an unheard of level of commitment and drive that is incredibly tangible – and I feel lucky to be a part of it.
