Is wine good for your heart?
Posted by admin on June 17th, 2007Several studies have shown that drinking a glass of wine may help you protect against heart disease. To support this finding take a look at the French, who drink more wine per capita than Americans do. Medical researchers studied over 21 countries and observed that France had the highest wine intake and the second-lowest cardiovascular disease mortality rate.
A possible explanation for wine’s positive health effects lies in grapes which are loaded with chemical compounds called flavonoids, as well as other antioxidant compounds. These compounds have been shown to reduce the artery-clogging elements as well as inhibit the formation of blood clots.
So next time you are at a restaurant, remember to drink that glass of wine!
Also you can shop and order fine wines from our list of excellent Inertiabev Clients.
