Inertia’s 3rd Annual Direct Sales and Marketing Symposium

Posted by Paul Mabray on September 3rd, 2007

Ok, please pardon the long blog but there is a ton of info I have been collecting for this post. So last Friday we did our annual event which will now become quarterly due to a great partnership with Copia. Once a year we will continue the broad discussions and the other three will be deep discussions regarding club, ecom, CRM, etc.

This years event was titled “Breaking Down Barriers and Opening Opportunities.” Thank you first to our co-sponsors:
Wine Tasting Network
Copper Peak Logistics
Card in the Box
POS Resources
Payment Logistics

Also thank you to our great speakers - I have listed them below with their power point presentations for all to review for all those wineries and people that were not able to attend:

Marc Engel - Keynote Speaker - Download Marc’s Presentation
Aaron Rutledge - Keynote Speaker - Download Aaron’s Presentation
Client Development Managers - Download CDM Presentations
Agent Red - Wine Spies & Jeff Stai - Twisted Oak - Download Jason’s & Jeff’s Presentations
Matt Mann - Download Matt’s Presentation

For our DTT presentations - we have to thank Brad Emler from US Uncorked and Jeff Lefevere - If you’d like a copy of those presentations - please feel free to email me directly.

What a great event and thank you everyone for joining us. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the next event.

  1. Agent Red Says:

First, a big thank you to Paul, Jennifer, Andrea and everyone at Inertia for putting on a great event. Thanks, too, to my fellow speakers. You all did a great job and I learned a few things along the way. Thank you, especially, to all of the winery-folk that showed up. This event was really for you and I am so happy to have heard from so many of you in the days that followed. I look forward to the next event!

I think the information you gave here is great. As a 3PL provider having access to compliance for free is a GREAT idea, so that we don’t pass on that cost to wineries and then them passing it on to the customer who lives in those “hard” states!!!

Second, though i was not at the meeting i learned a lot through your pp presentation. It does help to know the direction wineries are going so that UPS can make changes to reflect them

    Thank you again
